Still alive
I’ll be honest (not to say that I haven’t been in the past), but if you’re one of the five people who actually read this blog and one of the twenty-one souls who follow me on Twitter*, you may have realised that I don’t tweet as often as I used to. The reason is pretty simple- I’ve found that keeping up appearances as well as keeping up with people on Twitter requires a considerable amount of effort.
It’s not that I don’t like Twitter or the people I follow, it’s just that it takes quite a bit of work convincing humanity at large that (a) I’m still breathing and that (b) I still read all your amazing tweets and links.
I don’t make it a habit of marking every link or witty tweet as a favourite or faithfully retweeting every single thing that’s out there, which is what I see some people do. I know that as a result, I may not come across as being terribly social on social media, but I don’t have the time to go on Twitter every single day and read and RT every single thing (which is the impression I get of some people, looking at Twitter).
So yes, I’m still alive, still reading your tweets if they grab me and are interesting enough, but if you’d like more proof of life, I’m also on Facebook and Instagram.
Before I leave you, here’s a picture of a rather pretty sunset in Cherating, Malaysia:
*This is a joke, of course. I do know how to count and read numbers.
